Nadi Pariksha — also known as Nadi Vaidyam or Nadi Chikitsa — is the classical Ayurvedic science of pulse diagnosis. It is documented in the Sharangdhar Samhita (13th century) and later in the Yogratnakar through 48 shlokas that detail the science of reading Nadi for diagnosis and treatment guidance.
Unlike modern diagnostics that measure speed and rhythm, Nadi Pariksha reads the depth, force, rhythm, temperature, and subtle qualitative variations of the pulse at the radial artery — each variation corresponding to specific doshic disturbances and organ-level imbalance.
The three fingers placed on the wrist — index, middle, and ring — correspond respectively to Vata, Pitta, and Kapha doshas. A trained physician reads the movement patterns at each finger: the snake-like motion of Vata, the frog-like of Pitta, and the swan-like of Kapha.
At Ayurvishwa Healthcare, Nadi Pariksha is not a supportive tool — it is the primary diagnostic foundation on which every treatment plan is built. No treatment begins without it.
